Note
1. “He’s” “she’s” “I’m” “they’re” “we’re” etc. are not pronounced “he is”, “she is”, “I am”, “they are” etc.. They are pronounced in one word sound.
2. If you are asked “are you from Korea?” say yes I am from Seoul/Pohang/Daegu etc. if you are Korean. Don’t just say “yes I am.”

Yes I am. I’m from Madrid
No I’m not. I’m from Korea.
Is she/he from Korea?
Yes he/she is. She’s from Seoul.
No he/she’s not. She’s from Japan.
Are they from England? Yes they are. They’re from London.

Know the names of clothes in the book and the colors. (Remember I’m wearing a hat not I’m wearing hat.)

What’s he/she/Yong-eun wearing? He’s/she’s wearing a red blouse with a red skirt and high heels.
Whose jeans are these?

Is this your t-shirt? Yes it’s mine. No it isn’t. It’s Mrs. Smith’s.
Is this Mr. Kim’s hat. Yes it’s his. No it’s not. It’s hers. (Pointing to Mrs. Smith.)
Are these Mr. Kim’s sneakers? Yes they are. No they’re not. (Or No they aren’t) They’re mine.
Are these your trousers? Yes they are. No they’re not. They’re Mr. Kim’s

Are these Mr. Kim’s clothes?




Say what he is wearing. Say what he is not wearing.

e.g. He is wearing a black tie, a white shirt and gray trousers, but he isn’t wearing a raincoat.

I have been living in South Korea since 2005.

Worked at Korea Times for 4 years and am now teaching at Uiduk University about 15mins drive from Pohang in the south east on the coast.
